Top Tips for Creating The Perfect Christmas Table!

The festive season is well and truly upon us, and what better way to celebrate the occasion than by gathering around the perfect Christmas table?

At CaterHire, we understand the importance of creating memorable moments, and we’ve curated three yuletide-themed table settings to suit a variety of preferences and colour schemes, with everything available to hire!

Look 1: Christmas Fine Dining Hire Package for 10 Guests

Embrace the timeless charm of a traditional Christmas with a modern twist. Our first look combines the traditional with a contemporary flair. Rich reds, greens, and golds come together in perfect harmony, creating a tablescape that offers sophistication and warmth. From elegant tableware to festive centrepieces available for hire, every detail has been carefully chosen.

Our look included place settings for 14 guests. For 10 guests, this package includes the following:

• 8ft x 30” Trestle Table (for the purpose of the photoshoot, 4 x 6ft x 24” Trestle Table was used to create depth for the centre of the table and length).
• Linen Tablecloth White Ivy Leaf 72in x 144in (For the purpose of this photoshoot, 4 x White Tablecloths 70 x 108 were used).
• 10 x Glass Beaded Charger Plates
• 10 x Deluxe Gold & Bronze Chameleon Dining Chairs with White Pads
• 10 x Wedgwood Starter Plates
• 10 x Wedgwood 10" Dinner Plates
• 10 x Wedgwood Dessert Plates
• 10 x Wedgwood Side Plates
• 10 x Mother of Pearl Butter Knives
• 10 x Mother of Pearl Starter Knives & Forks
• 10 x Mother of Pearl Dinner Knives & Forks

• 1 x rack of Diamond Green Wine Goblet (25 Glasses) – these can be used as water glasses.
• 1 x rack of Sensa Red Wine Glasses (25 Glasses)
• 1 x rack of Sensa White Glasses (36 Glasses)
• 10x Hemstitched Linen Napkin White 20in x 20in (We used 14 x Dark Green velvet napkins from Gotcha Covered)

Flanking the fireplace were two Lolliprops Toy Soldier on Drum | Prop Hire | CaterHire. One on either side of the fireplace, transforming the room into a winter wonderland!

Conscious of wastage and creating sustainable elegance, we made a sustainable choice by reusing materials from a recent wedding held in the venue. White flowers from the previous event were replaced with seasonally-appropriate berries and Christmas decorations. Our eco-friendly approach not only minimised waste but added a unique touch.

You can make your centrepiece the focal point of the room with the right décor. A pre-lit, battery-operated faux garland adorned with red berries serves as the focal point for this look in our photoshoot. We also added festive-looking pine cones, wine-hued velvet baubles and some faux red flowers to create a create a Christmas-themed blend of colours and textures.

We added dark green and light blue/grey tapered candles down within the garland to create a warm ambiance, and to complete the look, we added green votives and a sprig of faux berries on each plate.

Look 2: Christmas Dining Party at Home for 10 Guests

Our second look is a popular favourite, and is the perfect choice for anyone who wishes to blend a modern aesthetic with rustic elements. Cool navys, silver and crystal accents and minimalist decor unite to create a winter wonderland forest!

This customer favourite is now available for hire at an irresistible price!

• 8ft x 30” Trestle Table (for the purpose of this photoshoot we used 2 x 6ft x 24” trestle tables to give the centre more depth).
• Something Different Linen Linen Hire: White Ivy Leaf Tablecloth 72" x 144" -Caterhire, but for this shoot we used 2 x 70 x 108 White Tablecloths, allowing them to overlap each other.
• 10 x Crystal Chiavari Chairs
• 10 x Regency 10" Dinner Plates
• 10 x Regency 9" Dessert Plates
• 10 x Ascot Dinner Knives
• 10 x Ascot Dinner Forks
• 10 x Ascot Dessert Spoons
• 25 x Cabernet Wine Glasses 12oz (these can be used for both red and white wine)
• 25 x Salto Water Glasses 12oz
• 10 x White / Navy Linen Napkins (your choice of colour)

Our navy table runners serve as the base for this festive feast. The rich hue adds a hint of timelessness whilst complementing the winter theme.

To capture the essence of a winter forest, we arranged faux trees, stags, and green foliage on the navy table runners. The blend of deep greens, rustic browns, and pops of red adds depth and texture. Pine cones were added to invoke a rustic touch, whilst red flowers add a hint of festivity.

In line with our commitment to sustainability, we repurposed materials from a prior wedding's floral mantle display. We replaced white flowers with berries and Christmas décor, adding red velvet bows on each side of the fireplace.

Look 3 - Kids' Christmas Table Package for 10 Guests

This table is for ideal for anyone who welcomes a hint (or a lot!) of novelty. It’s a fun, magical kids’ table that’ll inspire children to create a simple, exciting and easy to execute!

We added red table runners and red napkins with children’s' toys, gift boxes, Christmas decorations and of course Elf on the Shelves! This can easily be recreated at home by adding your children’s most treasured Christmas decorations to your table.

Add as much Christmas décor and add different heights to it to create that wonderful kids’ Christmas scene! For inspiration, think photo props and glasses, which are a great addition to the table and so much fun for little diners!
