Need to hire furniture for an event or party? Are you running an event or throwing a party but you’re not too sure what furniture you need to hire for the day?

What type of event is it?

Let us know what type of event or party you are holding. We hire furniture for all types of events but someone hiring extra chairs and tables for Christmas Day will be looking for different furniture than someone hiring for a marquee wedding. A sit down formal dinner will require different furniture to a lounge event or bar event party where people will be standing and mingling.

So firstly, let our customer service team know the type of event and we can start from there.

How many people will be coming along?

Once we know how many people are expected at your event or party, we will be able to advise you on just how much furniture you will need to hire. It sounds easy and hiring for a dinner party for ten is simple to work out: hire ten chairs and a 6ft round table. A sit down wedding for 120: hire 120 Chiavari chairs and 10, 11 or 12 6ft round tables depending on how much space you have.

It can be a bit tricky to work out what furniture you might need to hire if you are throwing a more casual event where not everyone will need or want to be sitting down. Some people prefer to stand at High Bar Tables or at the bar. We can advise you on what you will need for the numbers you predict will attend.

What type of room is it - how large is the room and what shape is it?

Some furniture will suit different shaped rooms better than others. For example, for a very narrow room we might advise you hire rectangular trestle tables rather than our 6ft rounds. For a wedding we would have a range of Top Table ideas to suit the shape of the room.

We often get asked at Christmas if our tables will fit into a dining room or a kitchen. Once you let us know the size of your room, we can advise on which table you should hire. Not only do you want your table to fit your room, but you want to ensure that you and your guests can move around your room comfortably.

What’s your budget?

We cater for all budgets. You can seat a table of 10 at a table with chairs for €35 for the most basic setting.

But, many of our customers want to upgrade with something a bit special like our Chiavari Chairs which would really enhance the look of your room. And to top it off, bring your room to life with some of our unique linen range and our fine dining glassware, crockery and cutlery.
